What to do in the case of a loss or claim?

  1. Inform the South African Police within 24 hours of any loss resulting from criminal activity or the involvement of a 3rd party.
  2. Download your claims form from our preferred claims handlers here:
  3. Supply CHS with all claims information and documentation in writing within 30 days.

Steps to follow in the event of a car

  1. Do not admit liability to any person.
  2. Submit your claim to Axsure’s preferred claims handlers CHS within 30 days.
  3. Notify Axsure’s preferred claims handlers CHS if you receive any liability claims from the 3rd party.
  4. Obtain, from the Third-Party, the following information:
  • Name, surname and contact numbers of the driver at the time.
  • Driver’s license date of first issue and license code
  • Name, surname, contact details of the owner of the insured vehicle.
  • Vehicle make, model and registration number of the 3rd party vehicle involved.
  • Name of the insurer insuring the 3rd party vehicle.
  • You may take photos of the accident scene and 3rd party vehicle for submission.
  • Name, surname and contact details of any witnesses to the incident.3. Report the incident to the South African Police department within 24 hours.

Do you have a tracking device?

If your vehicle is fitted with a tracking device remember to inform your Tracking company within 1 hour following a theft or hi-jacking.
